Who is this for?
Health and Safety compliance is more than Red Tape and yes, it may cause major headaches for many employers including micro businesses and the sole trader but is a necessary evil. In the current working environment even minor accidents or incidents can have potentially litigious and costly consequences.
The aim of this programme is to equip micro businesses and sole traders with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to remain compliant under health and safety legislation.
Course Content:
CIEH Health & Safety in the Workplace (Policy and Documentation) (1 day)
Fire Risk Asmnt & Extinguisher Training (1 day)
Environmental Legislation (½ day)
First Aid - Basic adult life support (½ day)
Manual Handling (½ day)
CIEH Level 2 Assessment (½ day)

Delivery Methodology
The programme will be delivered one day per week over a five week period. Although classroom based, the teaching style will be interactive, often referring to case studies and practical applications.
It is envisaged that delegates will be able to implement documentation, and profoma checklists within their own workplace.
At the end of the course delegates should have sufficient knowledge and understanding of their role and responsibility as a Competent Person.
This is FREE TRAINING and is an ESF Funded Project in conjunction with Wiltshire County Council and Wessex Chamber of Commerce supporting employer demand-led skills.

Course Content
Attendees should be the business proprietor or the company nominated person who would be responsible for implementing workplace health & safety procedures. The sponsoring company can be from any sector as the specific course content will be tailored to meet the needs of the individual.
