Who is this for?

Health and Safety compliance is more than Red Tape and yes, it may cause major headaches for many employers including micro businesses and the sole trader but is a necessary evil. In the current working environment even minor accidents or incidents can have potentially litigious and costly consequences.

The aim of this programme is to equip employees, especially those employed in micro businesses with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to operate safely in the workplace.

Health & Safety in the Workplace (1 day)
Manual Handling (½ day)
First Aid - Basic Adult Life Support (½ day)
Forklift Novice (3 days)

Option B - Landbased
CIEH Health & Safety in the Workplace (1 day)

PA1 & PA6 - Pesticide Application (2 day)
Abrasive Wheels & Handheld Power Tools (1 day)

Option C - Construction

Accreditation

The programme has been designed on a modular basis to enable the employer to select the most appropriate route for their business need. The programme will be delivered one day per week over a five week period. The delivery modal will be demonstration and practice with underpinning knowledge to support the learning.

Additional Information

Typical attendees will those who use a range of work equipment in the industrial construction and landbased sectors. They could be novices or experienced operatives who need formal or refresher training. Typical industry sectors could include Local Councils, Golf Clubs, Building Companies, Agriculture Manufacturing and Warehousing.

Mileage costs may be applied to training taking place over 25 miles from our sites.
