Who is this for?

This one-day workshop has been designed for those who wish to use access towers and ladders as part of their work activity; in particular builders, decorators and maintenance personnel.

This is a 1 day course.

Additional Information

This course aims to give delegates the necessary skills & knowledge to ensure the safety of themselves and others when erecting, using, moving & dismantling mobile tower scaffolding and ladders as well as the skills and knowledge required for inspecting and storing.

In July 2003/2004 falls from height accounted for 67 fatal accidents and 400 major injuries. Working at height remains the single biggest cause of work placed deaths.

Maximum of 6 delegates per course.

Mileage costs may be applied to training taking place over 25 miles from our sites.

What the law says

Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 places an absolute duty on the employer to ensure that all persons who use work equipment must have received adequate training, for purpose of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using work equipment. Other legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Working at Height Regulations 2005 must be adhered to.
