Who is this for?

This course has been designed for anyone working at height & requires the use of a Mobile Elevating Work Platform; eg. Scissor Lift or Cherry Picker.

Operators with previous operating & industry experience will require less training time. The length of time will depend on evidence & profiling. For more information on testing please speak to one of our helpful training co-ordinators.

Course Duration

Option 1 Novice 3 Days
Option 2 Experienced 1 Day

Accreditation

We are able to train and test to the National Plant Operators Scheme standards . We are able to train to CPCS requirements. Call for details.

Candidates will need a CPCS upgrade from red card to blue card within 2 years by completing an NVQ level 2. Funding may be available for the NVQ. Please call for further details on upgrades.

Site Requirements
This course must take place at your Workplace or Site. There is a requirement for site resources.
Please check with our co-ordinators.
Mileage costs may be applied to training taking place over 25 miles from our sites.

What the law says

Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 places an
absolute duty on the employer to ensure that all persons who use work equipment must have received adequate training, for purpose of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using work equipment.

Other legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment regulations 1998 and the Working at Height Regulations 2005 must be adhered to.
