Who is this for?
This 5 day Lantra approved course leading to National Proficiency Test Council assessment has been designed for the professional user e.g. “Someone who anticipates seeking contractual work in professional forestry, amenity or utility arboricultural activities which is likely to immediately, or at some future date, involve felling trees over 200mm diameter and/or aerial tree work”.
Accreditation
On completion, candidates will need to undertake an assessment with the National Proficiency Test Council. This assessment will usually take place within 14 working days.
Additional Information
Company to supply timber.
Mileage costs may be applied to training taking place over 25 miles from our sites.

Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work
Equipment Regulations 1998
‘All workers who use a chainsaw should be
competent to do so. Before using a chainsaw to carry out work on or in a tree, a worker should have received appropriate training and obtained a relevant certificate of competence‘.
