Who is this for?

This course has been designed for people who use abrasive wheels. The course includes angle grinders, bench grinders and diamond tip cutting wheels in an industrial, construction or land based environment.

This half-day course will cover the theory and practice for safe operation, dressing and the changing of wheels.

Course Duration

This is a half day course.

Accreditation

A Training Express certificate of training will be issued. In addition, a National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) Identity card is available.

Additional Information

Maximum number of candidates per course: 8

Max of 10 per day under NPORS Accreditation.

Mileage costs may be applied to training taking place over 25 miles from our sites.

What the law says

Regulation 12 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 states that:-
‘Every employer shall take measures to ensure that the exposure of a person, using work equipment, to any risk is either prevented or adequately controlled.
Employees who use abrasive wheels fall into this category‘.
