The Logistics Operations Management
N/SVQs benefit both employers and employees by offering a wide choice of assessment routes to suit the widest possible range of needs.
For employers the qualification can:
reduce staff turnover, help to recruit people and to motivate them, increase productivity through better supervision,
show customers that you team leaders are competent to industry standards,
help reduce accidents as NVQ/SVQs, cover health and safety.
For employees the qualification can:
provide evidence that you can operate at the new Level 3 standard,
gain you a qualification without going back to college or sitting exams,
be completed at a pace to suit you.
Course Duration
Candidate must complete three mandatory assessment routes plus five optional assessment routes optional assessment routes a minimum of one assessment route from each of Group A and Group B must be completed plus a further three assessment routes from Group A, B or C.
Accreditation
To achieve the qualification, candidates are:
Profiled & inducted
Observed carrying out performance operations
Questioned on their knowledge
In addition, statements from supervisors and/or logbook entries are used to ascertain competence over time.
This is a National Vocational Qualification.

Mileage costs may be applied to training taking place over 25 miles from our sites.

Optimise the use of logistics resources
Develop contingency plans for logistics operations
Utilise transport modes in logistics operations
Apply technology in logistics operations
Group B
Develop relationships with logistics customers
Improve the quality of logistics operations
Respond to contingencies during logistics operations
Monitor the environmental impact of logistics operations
Group C
Arrange the transportation of goods using multiple transport modes
Organise the preparation of documentation for the transportation of goods
Manage the receipt, storage, or dispatch of goods
Audit stock levels and stock records
Provide leadership for your team
Allocate and check work in your team
